LPG Transfer Pumps
Company

A trading house that ended up building a better pump.

Wingz was established in New Delhi in 2001 as the trading arm of a larger family group in travel, hospitality, logistics and shipping. YAM is the brand under which all our pumps are sold.

2001
Wingz begins trading
Export and import of consumer and industrial products from around the world, always working to meet each client’s requirements in full.
2003
Backing a technician with an idea
We tied up with a skilled technician designing a compact pump for LPG, propane and other liquefied gases, and funded the project. By the end of the year the first LPG transfer pump was built: a 1.5 HP motor, more than 30 kg, and soon popular in local markets.
A year on
Halving the weight
Overseas clients were keen, but shipping a 30 kg pump was prohibitive. Our team worked on a more compact model and brought it down to 15 kg.
2007
0.5 HP, 6 kg, and 12 volts
A pump that works efficiently on a 0.5 HP motor at only 6 kg. The same year we introduced the 12V DC pump, which runs directly from a car battery.
Today
Over 50 countries
Hundreds of satisfied customers, many buying from us for more than ten years and recommending us to others. Their feedback is what keeps improving the design and efficiency of our pumps.
“We value the critique of our customers. Their feedback goes a long way in helping us improve our products.”
Five models today. The 0.5 HP 12V DC pump is the most popular, followed by the 0.5 HP 220V AC pump, with two 1 HP models for heavy commercial use.
